TASI won the The Most Science and Technology Content Award in an International Competition in Zhong Guan Cun, Haidian, Beijing. The judges and organizers are from Intel, Haier, 500 Startups, RocketSpace, Microsoft, Tsinghua Tongfang, etc.  There were 10 finalists in the competition for investment opportunities. Dr. Susan Chang from TASI was invited to speak at the Second China Smart City International Expo 2016 to market TASI's potential solutions for the increasing issue of flash flooding in China cities.

May, 2014 

After three decades of deligent services, Mr. Robert Davis retires from NWS and at the same time receives the Distinguished Career Award from NOAA for "Over 30 years of sustained, pioneering and critical research in improving the flash flooding detection and forecasting for the entire nation".
